Last Saturday night was a great gig at the fabulous Marrickville venue, the Red Rattler. The line up was pure quality, featuring live local dub step-cum-psychidelic rock group Svelt, Melbourne gypsy death core band Barons of Tang and a hilarious appearance by the newly formed hip hop comedy duo, Future of Blame. They surprised us all with a pants wettingly funny rap that went along the lines of, “Fuck Newtown, Marrickville’s Better.” Complete with about half a dozen 80s leotard clad back up dancers adding to the spectacle.
As a special birthday surprise for my dear friend Reese Geronimo, I got her up on stage for a little bit of burlesque fun. Armed with signature whipped cream in hand, Reese received a cream ball in the face and a candle topped banana split for good measure. Happy Birthday hott stuff!
The talented, cream faced little lady also designed the awesome flyer for the night.
