Meet my friend Danma, a Tibetan from a nomadic yak herding family in the Gansu province.
Last weekend, I took her to a Rica Tetas gig. She has now been in Australia for over a year, studying at UTS with a goal of improving the living conditions for the poor communities in her homeland.
This uni break, she will record their traditional stories and songs, before they are lost in the wake of new technologies and priorities.
