Last week we wrapped up another successful season of Mystery Bus for the Sydney Fringe Festival. Once again sell-out crowds were wowed by a showcase of some of Sydney’s best underground artists and venues across eight themed nights. The bus arrived to greet unsuspecting punters outside the Enmore Theatre and took them to different secret locations each night for a surprise smorgasboard of entertainment.
I am also pleased to announce we have been nominated for an FBI Radio SMAC Award!
Some quick stats:
471 punters
12 musicians
3 burlesque performers
3 cabaret stars
101 camels
49 roller girls
4 professional perverts
2 film fanatics
70 drink prizes to the sly fox
1 bus driver
8 local artist cd giveaways
& 1 taro reader!
This year we received some fantastic media coverage, most notably in Time Out Magazine;
“Nothing could have prepared us for the kinkiness that ensued.. the Mystery Bus delivered on its promise to excite and surprise.”
We were listed in Concrete Playground‘s top ten Fringe Shows.
And Arts Hub said that we had; “some of the freakier things the fringe world has to offer.”
