What a wonderful workshop series!
I was very lucky to be invited to give a series of workshops in object theatre for a class of 27 extremely sweet 7 year olds. The workshops were a Kultur Macht Stark initiative and delivered in partnership with Puppetry Slam Deutschland and author and director Jana Heinicke. The workshops were held at the incredible facility FEZ in Wulheide, a kid’s wonderland!
Given an extended timeframe, we were able to cover a lot of ground and give a really in depth discovery of object theatre. We learned different performance skills, such as manipulation, lip sync and improvising. We also constructed scenery, props and puppets. Finally we story boarded, rehearsed and performed our new plays.
